What made a lasting impression?

The enormous and focused dedication of the speakers during preparations, made a lasting impression. And the fact that it lead to the result which the speaker had in mind.  . They were not just talks; they were stories that the audience listened to breathlessly. You could feel the tension in the theater.

Would you do it again next year?

Yes, it gave me a huge amount of satisfaction and I had a very intense connection with the speakers that I coached. Next to this, the contact with the TEDxEde organization was pleasant and professional.

Why did you coach speakers for TEDxEde 2015, free of charge?

I love the TEDx concept! It’s about sharing the best ideas worldwide. It’s all about fascinating thinkers, inventors and do-ers. Women and men, young and old, with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds all perform on the stage. That such a  huge event could be organized in the city of Ede, is very special. It was wonderful that I as a professional coach could help make this event a success.

What did you like about the whole process?

What I enjoyed the most was working with the selected speakers  who wanted to share their passion about a certain subject with others. It’s a huge process working with a speaker on his or her  basic text  within the allocated minutes and, then practicing it so that the public is captivated from the beginning of their talk. The talk should have a clear core and a storyline. The speaker must be authentic and captivating. My challenge was to rehearse with the speakers and make this happen.

Why did you coach speakers for TEDxEde 2015, free of charge?

TEDxEde gave me the opportunity to help and coach people that have passion and are willing to share with a larger audience. My drive to do this is to support others so that their passion and what they do the best becomes more prominent and inspires others.

What did you like about the whole process?

That during the whole process I also learnt something. I had to coach two different types of individuals and who had totally different needs. It was a learning moment not only for the individuals but also for myself. It was special in comparison to others I’ve coached.

What made a lasting impression?

Next to the fact that most of talks were inspirational, I found that meeting people that you probably wouldn’t have met in normal day to day life very enjoyable. I also enjoyed the network moments where I met others and had various inspiring conversations.

Would you do it again next year?

You bet. I found TEDxEde very inspirational as coach and as a listener.

What made a lasting impression?

Next to the possibility to meet people who I normally wouldn’t have met, the biggest impression was that my line of thought about certain subjects was influenced by some of the speakers who gave me new and surprising insights.

Would you do it again next year?

Yes if only for the chance to meet new people and get new insights.

Why did you coach speakers for TEDxEde 2015, free of charge?

For me TEDxEde was the chance to become familiar with this form of spreading inspirational ideas to larger audience. I find it a very exceptional method of getting in a very short space of time a different mind setting. What did you like about the whole process?

What I liked the most was that I could meet an exceptional group of people, whom I could support with my knowledge. It always surprises me that people who I expect to be quite comfortable as a speaker need my help to get to that moment on the stage and see them grow in their performance. Apparently stage fright is common among all of us.
